What caught my eye about this book when I first received it was the cover! OMG it's so cool!

I received a copy of Girl of Fire from the author for an honest review before release.

In Girl of Fire, you follow Trattora as she struggles with the difference between her and her clan from the planet Cwelt. After having a run in with the first traders her planet has seen in 14 years, Trattora learns that the traders are looking for dragonite, a rare stone that can turn metal invisible. Trattora soon ends up falling in love with a trader's serf (or slave) Velkan. Taking it upon herself to try and free him, Trattora and her friend Buir end up fleeing with the traders from pirates. Only for Trattora to learn that Velkan and her have something in common. Like Trattora, Velkan has a bracelet, one that proves he is not from any known planet.
You see Trattora take matters into her own hands.
Later Trattora learns that her and Velkan are not the only ones with the bracelets, and you see her excitement when she learns more about her past. Which I enjoyed.
While there was a lot of action going on in this book, I felt that things were handed to Trattora a little too easily. Maybe it was the savage way she looked, coming from a loner planet. Or her natural ability to be a leader.
There were quite a few parts that I call "funnies." (I won't list any for spoiler purposes) I honestly think that this book is a light read.
There was a lot going on, but not much for the character to learn. It almost seemed like she already knew. Whether that comes into play later or not, I'm not sure.
I enjoyed how the author used different types of characters. How ever, I ended up with several questions in the end about said characters.
I do look toward book 2, I want to know what happens next!
