Review: Reconstructing Amelia

Star Rating: 5/5 stars
recommend: Highly

Just a side note, it took me over a year to get my hands on this book.

I am not sure how I can write this review without any spoilers.
Dear heaven, this book captivates you from page one. It was a mystery from the first word.
Kate is a single mother and works full time as a lawyer at a big name firm. After getting a call that her daughter, Amelia, was suspended from school due to cheating, Kate goes to figure out why Amelia would do such a thing. Only to arrive at the school and find that her only child committed suicide.
After months of mourning the loss of her daughter, Kate receives an anonymous text saying three words: Amelia didn't jump.
Now distraught, Kate searches for the truth behind Amelia's death.
This book in is two POVs. Not just two people telling the story, it is literally in two povs, 1st and 3rd person. Due to the different povs; I was HOOKED! I never read a book with so many twists and turns. Different people who you believe actually committed a "murder."
The 3rd person pov is Kate's story, on trying to find Amelia's murderer. The 1st person pov is Amelia's story up to the point of her death.
Needless to say, I highly recommend this book and I am proud to write this review without spoilers. I will say one thing though, I knew the ending when I was about a third done with the book
