The Joys of Natural Desaster

As you can see from the title of this post, I am talking my incident with Hurricane Matthew.
Let me start with a quick run up of what happened.
When we first got news of Hurricane Matthew, Everyone wasn't to stressed out about it here in North Carolina. We never get hit. We'll get rain and that's about it. So we all stocked up on water and food. Since we expected the power to go out.
The original route of Hurricane Matthew was suppose to go back out to sea after it got to South Carolina. However, it made a sudden and sharp turn into North Carolina.
My husband and I were actually not home when it first hit. We were in a separate town further west of NC. Enjoying the quiet weekend. While we were in this town, the rain hit. Then came the wind.
We knew it was getting bad so we headed home. When we arrived home, we both practically flipped out.
On October 8th, 2016, North Carolina was hit by Hurricane Matthew.

The Hunger Games Withdrawl

So if you are like me, you find a series or trilogy that is your absolute favorite.

One that is always your go-to read. You can rely on to captivate you again and again.

For me, that is The Hunger Games.

At first I was like everyone else. Thought it as a creepy book about kids killing kids. Until I saw the trailer. I fell in love with the trailer. So I read all three books, back to back. It ended up being a lot better than I thought. When the movie came out, I lived in Alaska. It was the dead of winter, I went to the store my mom worked at and bought the movie on it's release date.
when my mom came home, we all watched The Hunger Games. I was hooked again. But like every book dragon who reads the books before the movies, I saw a LOT of changes and missing scenes.
But one thing that I still loved, was the Team Peeta fangirl moments. I thought that Josh Hutcherson did an awesome job portraying Peeta Melark.
Once the series was over, with it's ending being Mockingjay Part 2. I was hit with a thought I was hit with when the books were over.
What about Petta's side of the story?
We all know about Katniss and her history. We of course know the story about Gale, his family and everything that happened with him while Katniss was in the Arena. But what I wanted to know was Peeta's story. Why did he cry when Katniss volunteered as tribute? What is his story on his family? Why is he so in love with Katniss? Why would he risk his life for a girl like fire?
These questions plague me all the time.
Everyone on Wattpad and FanFiction.net write what they believe would be Peeta's POV. But I think that like all these women got Christian Grey's POV for Fifty Shades of Grey, we should get Peeta Melark's POV from Suzanne Collins.
Hopefully one day Ms Collins will see how desperate her readers are for Peeta's story. Maybe she'll write it as a trilogy too.
Hopefully before these rumors are coming true about The Hunger Games Prequels.......
So read on, my fellow Tributes. Tell me in the comments what you think about Peeta's POV.

Would you want to read it? If you read the fanfictions, which one did you like best? Let me know in comments below.

Sneak Peak - Angela Blount

Because my awesome friend Angela Blount likes to torture her readers with snippets from her new book in progress.

-------------------------
Laura tried to give him a grateful smile, but felt her lips quiver and twitch instead. “Thank you,” she managed at last, looking down at her hands. Another kind of regret had begun to settle down over her, like the weight of wet clothing. It was the guilt of wondering how much backlash her friend was going to suffer for intervening on her behalf. “I’m so sorry if I got you in trouble with your grand—your meemaw.”

“Naw.” Louis gave a not-quite-authentic chuckle. “I got a good talkin’ to about how to treat a lady, but I don’t think she was mad. She even insisted on fussing over you herself when I brought you in.” He gave Laura’s shoulders one last squeeze and released them. The slight withdraw left her feeling so bereft, she almost leaned in after them.

“She must be sleepin’ late—I haven’t heard a peep out of her yet,” he went on motioning toward his dresser at a speaker-faced device with a steady red light glowing in the bottom corner.

“Is that… a baby monitor?” Laura asked, in dim bewilderment.

“I prefer to call it a redneck elder-care intercom system. RECIS for short.” He formed his first side-skewed grin of the morning with a slow air of caution, as though gauging her tolerance to humor. “It only works one way, so I spose’ it’s more like a broken walkie-talkie. But R-E-C-B-W-T-S doesn’t flow quite as nice.”

Review: Apex Predator (book 1) by Glyn Gardner

Star Review:  4/5 stars

Source: The author sent me a ecopy of this book for an honest review.

Apex Predator had a great plot, great characters and it was a page turner. I really enjoyed this book. I had no idea it was a zombie book, which is one of my weaknesses. I really enjoyed reading it! I couldn't put it down.

As for what I disliked...
The editor of this book has disappointed me. I've read books with typos before but the Editor is suppose to fix all the typos. I constantly ran across typos and words that don't fit.
For example. One page the character Jackson was talking but the name Anderson was there instead. (This happened sometime after the "Body Shop" incident.)

Other than the editor's failed attempt at doing his/her job, this book was wonderful! I really enjoyed it
