Content to follow more scholarly pursuits, her whole world is torn apart when her father, the Raja, arranges a wedding of political convenience to quell outside rebellions. Soon Maya becomes the queen of Akaran and wife of Amar. Neither roles are what she expected: As Akaran’s queen, she finds her voice and power. As Amar’s wife, she finds something else entirely: Compassion. Protection. Desire…

But Akaran has its own secrets—thousands of locked doors, gardens of glass, and a tree that bears memories instead of fruit. Soon, Maya suspects her life is in danger. Yet who, besides her husband, can she trust? With the fate of the human and Otherworldly realms hanging in the balance, Maya must unravel an ancient mystery that spans reincarnated lives to save those she loves the most…including herself.

Review: World Before (ARC) by Lindsey Pouge and Lindsey Fairleigh

Star Rating: 4/5 stars
Recommend: Yes
Final Thoughts: Excellent intro to characters

I received a copy of this book for an honest review by the wonderful Lindsey Pouge.
This is possibly the shortest review I have ever written. I absolutely enjoyed this novel. I felt as though I was able to connect with the characters better knowing their stories of Before.
I can't say if I have a favorite part and I do not intend to do any spoilers.

Again, shortest review ever!

Do I recommend? Yes, I recommend after completing the series.
Final thoughts: sobbing my eyes out and smiling like a girl who got her favorite treat

You can order World Before on Amazon for Kindle HERE or for Paperback HERE

Until next time my Dragons!

Review: The Jewel (Lone City #1) by Amy Fleming

Star Rating: 4/5 stars
Recommend: Yes
Final Thoughts: Distraught from cliffhanger

I got The Jewel on a whim during a buy two for one sale via Audible. Which is narrated by Erin Spencer. I read the reviews for the audiobook and got a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of people didn't enjoy the narrator's speech and way of narrating. They said she "constantly sounded as though she was complaining." However, I found it rather enjoyable. Erin was clear and simple. It felt as though she was the character, Violet.
My overall rating for the audiobook: 4/5 Stars.
My overall rating for the narrator: 4/5 Stars
My overall rating of the cover: 5/5 Stars. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. At first glance you'd be under the impression that The Jewel was apart of The Selection Series by Kiera Cass.
Below is my official review for the book.

Audible: My First Experience

To in today's post I am talking about Audible.

Now I have heard of Audible before, an online audiobook source. However, I almost didn't want to do it.
First I looked at the prices. The first month was Free and following months was 14.99 p/m. Okay, that sounds good. Then I looked at the prices of the audiobooks alone. Example:

Review: Expiation (Touched #4) by Elisa S. Amore

Star review : 3 out of 5
Conclusion: disappointed

I preordered Expiation with excitement for an excellent ending... but I was a little more upset about it than anything. It felt more like fan fiction, it wasn't true to the "true love" theme of the series.

Review: After You by JoJo Moyes

Star Review: 5/5 stars
Recommend: Highly!

This was such a great way to continue Lou's story.
It is a sequel not like any other. With twists and turns you wouldn't expect.
I loved reading as Lou learned to trust herself again. Learned to move on from the past. As well as learning to tell the past to a stranger she notices looks a lot like Will Traynor.
I was heartbroken with the way it was portrayed of Lou's way of coping with loss. But if you really looked at it, everyone has their own way of coping and finding a way to move on.
While reading After You, I had the distinct feeling that Lou was never going to live again. (As Will had told her many times.) however, the more I read, the more I saw her discovering herself, except the past and welcome the future.
JoJo Moyes as a talent of showing you a real life scenario and makes you learn from it. That was what I got from Me Before You and what I got from After You.

You know what my favorite part of Lou's story? In Spring of 2018, we will be able to get book 3!
That's right, Book 3 of Lou's story! JoJo Moyes announced it last month on Facebook! EEECK! I m so excited!

Review: Secret of Camp Whispering Pines by Tara Ellis

Star Rating: 4/5 Stars
Recommend: Yes for your Nancy Drews out there

Here is my extremely short review for Tara Ellis's second book in her Samantha Wolf Mysteries.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

I was not disappointed. Tara Ellis did it once again. This book not only was just as fun and fast paced as the first book, but it was another good mystery.
I was so excited to get a message from Tara, asking me to read this book for an honest review, since I loved the first one. Sammantha Wolf reminds me of a younger, modern Nancy Drew. I highly recommend this book to any kids or younger teens who loved Nancy Drew.
Forgive me for the short review, but I just loved it so much, I can't write it down!

Review: The Mystery of Hollow Inn by Tara Ellis

Star Rating: 4/5 Stars
Recommend: Great for Middle School Grade

I reached out to Ms. Ellis on GoodReads when she first came out with this book. She was looking for reviewers who was willing to read her new middle school level mystery novel.
I was so thrilled to get a chance to read it because I LOVE (still do) Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. So I gave this book a chance and love it! I highly recommend if you have a middle school grade reader who loves Nancy Drew.

So here is my short and quick review!
