Recommend: Great for Middle School Grade
I reached out to Ms. Ellis on GoodReads when she first came out with this book. She was looking for reviewers who was willing to read her new middle school level mystery novel.
I was so thrilled to get a chance to read it because I LOVE (still do) Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. So I gave this book a chance and love it! I highly recommend if you have a middle school grade reader who loves Nancy Drew.
So here is my short and quick review!
| Source: was provided an ecopy of this book for an honest review. I don't usually read and review books aiming for preteens and younger teens. However, something about this book jumped at me. So after emailing the author and reading this book, I was actually excited to read it! This book reminds me a lot of a modern version of Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys and The Dana Girls. I love the old classic kid/teen mystery novels and always will. So I wish this author luck on reaching her goal of making this series as one of "the greats." The character Sam, reminds me a lot of myself. Rather be outside than in on electronics. Who would have thought that a 12 year old in a modern would rather to be outside. And who would want a good mystery. Just like Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, this was a quick read with a good mystery. I would love to read the rest of her books and can't wait for them either.
