In Search of a Senior Thoroughbred

I am on a Facebook page and made a post trying to find a horse I owned. We were having a hard time getting the post to share, so I am putting it on my blog

This is a long shot. But I am hoping someone can help.
Back in 2010, My military family had to move to Alaska. Which meant I had to sell my horse. Ever since then I've been trying to find him. I sold him to a family and they had emailed me in 2011, saying they didn't want him anymore. Before I was able to work out details for a family friend to pick him up, they sold him. I know he might not be around anymore, I just want to know where he went and if he was happy. If he is still around, I would love to have him back. He was my best friend and it killed me to sell him.
I don't know his registered name, for it was changed before I got him. But his show name was Second Stride, we called him Strider. He's English trained, hunter/jumper.
He's a senior, black (bay during summer, he loved to be in the sun) thoroughbred gelding. Only marking is a small white star. He stands around 17-18 hh which was unusually tall for his breed. I sold him in the Fayetteville, NC area. The last time I heard of him, he was boarded at a small farm in Raeford, NC called Saddletree Farm (there are two in NC). The owner of the farm at the time was a German hunter/jumper named Melissa Carr. She came and rode him before the new owners bought him, to see how he was trained. She said he was perfect.

Zephyr and Reading Problems

Yesterday I was nervous and excited all day. Why? you ask? Well Simple, I was getting a new pet. Normal people get excited for a dog or a cat. But for me, I got a fish. Yup, that's correct. A fish.
After running to Wal-Mart, I was sorely disappointed. All the fish looked sick. Now I wanted a specific type of fish. Not a gold fish or a guppy. I wanted a Betta. I always loved betta fish. So, hubs and I went to petsmart and I found my fish!
Before the reveal, here is a short story of my first bettas.
Once upon a time I had 3 at once. 2 males and a female. I gave one male to my youngest brother (my oldest male betta). Then I kept the two reds. Shark and..... honestly, I never named the female. She was a little witch. One day, I came home from school to find that the female killed Shark, my gorgeous red male. I was so upset.
To be frank, I have no clue what happened to the female.

New Books and Questions

As of late I had a hard time sticking to Jane Eyre. I have too many questions about the publishing style, that I can't seem to get far. That and I was mostly reading it until I got a new book in.
Oh.... I will torture you on this one. I can't tell you the title. I'm reading this for a friend, which I a, glad she's letting me give this a try.

I am so excited!!!! I haven't gotten as far as I'd want to be. Which sucks. Life is starting to get in my way.
But on the brighter side of things, I got a book I preordered....... FINALLY!!!!!

Audible: My First Experience

To in today's post I am talking about Audible.

Now I have heard of Audible before, an online audiobook source. However, I almost didn't want to do it.
First I looked at the prices. The first month was Free and following months was 14.99 p/m. Okay, that sounds good. Then I looked at the prices of the audiobooks alone. Example:

It's Been A While

I want to start with apologizing to my readers. A lot has been going on. First lets start with what this month is to me.
June is Scoliosis Awareness Month.
As a Scoliosis patient, I'm excited to here that this even exists. Scoliosis is common, but not as much. Just recently am I learning more about my condition. I even learned that there is a better treatment then what I did as a teen. The only problem?
The closest clinic is in a different state and I can't afford the treatment, even with insurance. :(

This morning I had finished listening to my first book, via Audible. I was a little weary at first on getting an Audible account. I saw it as way to expensive. Then I thought about it. I never have time to read much anymore, so why not try audiobooks. So I did. I had listened to The Ending by Lindey Pouge and Lindsey Fairleigh.
I had downloaded the second book (which I won in a contest) Into The Fire, this morning. I will be listening to it through out the day.

Meet Author Jenetta Penner

I have a wonderful treat for you all!!!

An interview with Jenetta Penner, author of Configured! So come on in, grab a cup of coffee and meet Jenetta!

I had the wonderful opportunity to read Configured before it's release in 2016. I fell in love with it! You can read my review HERE. Now I am waiting on Immersed, which sounds a-mazing. Jenetta is the second author to do this review. I had asked if she could share with us a teaser, however, Immersed is still in it's editing stage and she said she would love too once that is done. So we all have to wait in anticipation! *screams with excitement*
